Getting to Exuma

Exuma International Airport is the sole airport on the Exuma Islands, welcoming flights from Nassau, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Toronto, and Atlanta.

Airlines which fly to Exuma are:

Ø  and Delta Airlines

If you are flying into Nassau and require a flight to Exuma, we recommend Sky Bahamas Airlines or Bahamas Air, both of which offer affordable direct flights throughout the day.

You will find Exuma International Airport to be conveniently located in Georgetown, which is roughly a ten-minute drive to Hideaways at Palm Bay. 

Getting to Hideaways at Palm Bay

We know that travelling can be exhausting. Therefore, we want to make your final journey from Exuma International Airport to Hideaways as smooth as possible. With a variety of transportation options you will find yourself at the resort in no time.

Before starting your journey, you may inquire with your reservation representative at Hideaways about ordering a pre-arranged taxi for your arrival at Exuma International Airport.

Exuma International Airport offers affordable car rentals that are available for pickup upon your arrival. To ensure availability, we recommend booking in advance. Driving Directions to Hideaways from Exuma International Airport

Driving from the airport to Hideaways is very simple. Once you have obtained your rental car and are ready to start driving, head southeast on Queen’s Highway for approximately 7 miles. Hideaways at Palm Bay will be located on your left. Parking is available on the west side of the road, directly across from the Hideaways at Palm Bay hotel office.

·         Please note that in Exuma, driving is on the LEFT side of the road

·         Seatbelt usage is required by law

·         Drinking and driving is illegal

Once You Have Arrived

If you have rented a vehicle, you are free to explore the Exuma Islands of your own accord. If you are looking for ideas about hot tourist spots as well as hidden local gems, talk to your Hideaways representative for recommendations and suggestions on sites to see and places to visit.

If you have not rented a vehicle, do not fret. Free shuttles make their way into Georgetown everyday, and tour operators make exploring Great Exuma and all its offerings simple, fun, and adventurous.
